ArmInfo. The special representative of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Bulgarian diplomat Christian Vigenin, held a series of meetings in Vienna on July 3 on the events in the South Caucasus, including the talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
As the press service of the OSCE told ArmInfo, Vigenin met with high-ranking diplomats from Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Austrian chairing the OSCE, as well as with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, who are instructed to find a peaceful solution to The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. At the same time, it is noted that during the meetings Vigenin noted the importance of continuing negotiations on the settlement of the conflict within the framework of agreed formats of discussions, emphasizing the potential of the political will for the inter-parliamentary dialogue. "Conflicts in the region continue to be accompanied by a large number of human casualties. I intend to continue the discussion with colleagues in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on how we can use our political influence to promote ongoing efforts and provide an impetus to ensure comprehensive and sustainable peace in the region, "Vigenin said. The press service of the organization notes that this week in Minsk the annual meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will begin, in which about 300 parliamentarians from all over the OSCE region will take part.
