ArmInfo.The delegation headed by the Armenian Parliament Chairman Ara Babloyan is in Artsakh with 2 days visit. The delegation visited Stepanakert Memorial and honored the fallen in Artsakh liberation struggle and the WW2. Later, in parliament, a short personal talk took place between the representatives of both Armenian Parliaments, then in the big hall of meetings a meeting took place with larger attendants.
The head of the Artsakh Parliament Ashot Gulyan, greeting Parliament Chairman and the members of Armenian delegation highly appreciated the cooperation established between the two parliaments. "From the very first years of independence between the two Armenian states exist strong and professional connections, which are now on the level of institutions and are strengthened by the agreement on cooperation between the two brotherly parliaments", Gulyan noted.
"The highest position for me is the position of the citizen of Artsakh", said Bablyan starting his speech.
Babloyan highly appreciated the level of the RA-AR inter-parliamentary relations and expressed his readiness to continue making parliamentary efforts in the international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh. "Artsakh is an indivisible part of the Armenian world, with which we are bound by blood, soul and heart, culture and history." I am sure that nobody can stop the aspiration of the people of Artsakh," Babloyan stressed.
The same day, the delegation headed by Babloyan met the President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan. A number of issues were discussed during the meeting concerning cooperation between parliaments of the two Armenian states. The visit will last till June 17.
