ArmInfo.Armenia and Russia discussed variants of further cooperation in health care field.
According to Armenian Health care Ministry press service, the discussions took place during the meeting on May 30 with charge d'affair Health Care Minister Levon Altunyan with the delegation led by CIS countries and Russian regions information management center head, Committee of Foreign Relations of St. Petersburg Svetlana Zhurkina.
The member of the Russian delegation Sergey Berlogin informed Altunyan that multidisciplinary polyclinic complex, an oncologic clinic and the first center in Russia to treat with proton radiation are included in the medical institutions headed by him, and 94 branches have magnetic resonance and computer tomography , which are represented not only in Russia but also in Armenia and Ukraine.
In his turn, Geropharm Company representative Timur Kiribayev introduced Health Care Ministry representatives new achievements in pharmaceutical sphere. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on extending cooperation in health care sphere. A decision was made to discuss the development of nuclear medicine and the chances of cooperation development in the issue of turning Armenia into a bridge on medicaments export to the Middle East.
