ArmInfo. Edward Sharmazanov, the Vice Speaker of Armenian Parliament received Oleg Pavlyuk, the Senior Advisor for Political Issues of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
During the meeting parties discussed the relations of Armenia-European Union, problems of regional security, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, as well as the parliamentary elections and Yerevan Elders Council held recently in Armenia. The Vice Speaker accentuated the importance of EU-Armenia relations and expressed his hope for the soonest signing of Comprehensive Partnership Agreement . Presenting the Karabakh Problem upon the request of the guest, Sharmazanov accentuated the importance of its settlement just and only in a way of peaceful negotiations, within the framework of OSCE Minsk Group. In this context he referred to the military rethoric of Azertbaijan and mentioned that recently OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs came out with addressed critics in respect to Azerbaijan due to the cease fire violations and launching fire at the whole length of the contact line.
"To improve the peace and sustainability in the region, Azerbaijan should recognize the full implementation of Artsakh people self determination right: While Azerbaijan does not recognize this right, the problem could not be settled," the vice speaker said.
