The Deputy paid his civil duty at the polling station N8/16. After the voting, in a discussion to journalists he informed about the signals on electoral violations. "There is a problem connected with mass bribe handling-it is already proved," Pashinyan stated.
According to Yelq bloc leader, materials on violations are directed to the Prosecutor's Office. He promised to be consequent in paying them corresponding process. "The highest instance for us is the nation, which must make the final decision on the given case-the nation should choose a court for itself," he stated. Nevertheless, Nikol Pashinyan waits that the winners will be exactly them. He is sure that without electoral falsifications, RPA has no chance to win. "At the same time, the parliamentary elections showed that through electoral bribes they can direct people," Pashinyan stressed.
Today, on May 14 Yerevan City Council elections are being conducted in Yerevan, the body which will elect Yerevan's Mayor. RPA electoral list leads active Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, Yerkir Tsirani Party list-Zaruhi Postanjyan, and the electora list of Yelq bloc-Nikol Pashinyan. Yelq bloc's list heads Nikol Pashinyan , then come Araik Harutyunyan and David Khajakyan. Yerkir Tsirani party is headed by ex lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan, then come Mnatsakan Pakshiev and Sona Aghekyan. From the Republican Party of Armenia the list is headed by the active Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, then come well- known chess player, international grand master Smbat Lputyan and the director of one the biggest IT companies in Armenia, Synopsys Armenia, Hovik Musaelyan. As only 3 political forces participate the elections, all of them will get posts in Yerevan City Council (all 65). The force, which would get the majority of votes, will nominate its candidacy to Mayor (first number in the list). The number of candidates totals 308, 98 from them are women. Yerevan City Council elections' observation mission is being implemented by 17 local organizations (more than 5 thousand observers) and one international organization (10 observers).
