ArmInfo. Four citizens of Armenia are charged with evading taxes and engaging in illegal entrepreneurship.
As the press service of the Special Investigation Service told ArmInfo, as a result of the conducted investigative measures, it was found out in the criminal case on tax evasion on a particularly large scale that the residents of Yerevan H.F. And A.E, with the assistance of the residents of the Bagratashen community of the Tavush region A.Kh. and G.T. illegally imported, and then sold agricultural products in the capital markets, including apples from Azerbaijan.
"In particular, during the investigation it became clear that H.F. And A.E from January 2017 until April 24, periodically without a declaration through the CCP "Bagratashen" imported agricultural products in large quantities and did not pay the corresponding state tax in the amount of 7.341.312 AMD. In addition, the above-mentioned individuals engaged in illegal business, selling imported agricultural products in the capital market "Malatsia" without state registration and tax accounting, so the state treasury did not count to 906,680 AMD. The investigation also found out that Kh. F. and A.E, in order to avoid paying taxes, had reached a preliminary agreement with the residents of Bagratashen A.H. And G.T who for a certain amount agreed to assist them in the illegal import of agricultural products (according to the law it is allowed to import up to 50 kg) to Armenia. So the above-mentioned persons caused damage to the state in the amount of 8 million AMD by their actions. H.F. And A.E. charged under the grounds of articles 188 and 205 part 1, and A.Kh. And G.T. on the grounds of articles 38-188 and 38-205 part 1. The preliminary investigation continues," the SIS said.
To note, in the second decade of April a major scandal erupted in Armenia in connection with the appearance of apples of Azerbaijani origin on the capital's shelves. In connection with this incident, an investigation has begun.
