ArmInfo. Candidate for deputies from the "Tsarukyan" electoral bloc Naira Zohrabyan does not exclude the initiation of post-electoral rally in case of falsification of the forthcoming parliamentary elections on April 2. She stated this on the radio "Svoboda".
"If the elections are rigged and the voice of the people is not heard, the Tsarukyan bloc will be where our people will be," she said. At the same time Zohrabyan noticed that street fighting does not presuppose bloodshed. "The post-electoral period assumes completely different mechanisms than in 2015 (redacted by Tsarukyan on the way out of big politics), when the government could go on provocations and put all responsibility on Gagik Tsarukyan," she noted.
Zohrabyan also believes that new electoral mechanisms exclude falsifications at polling stations, therefore, the people's voice will be decisive in these elections. "Our weapons are not a Kalashnikov rifle, but the voice of a voter, through which this authority will be overthrown," she said. At the same time, the politician urged voters not to believe the statements of the representatives of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia that they control the whole electoral process.
To note, in the upcoming elections for the first time additional mechanisms will be introduced to control the electoral processes. In particular, electronic identification of voters will be carried out, which excludes the possibility of a repeat vote. From the polling stations, an online broadcast of the entire electoral process will be carried out, including the counting of votes. In addition, the CEC will publish the lists of voted citizens, which, in the opinion of the opposition, excludes voting instead of persons absent from the country. Also, 3500 people joined the initiative "Citizen Observer" for the mission. In addition, four international organizations, the Council of Europe, the PACE, the OSCE and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will oversee the monitoring mission.
