ArmInfo. Artsakh is a country where real democracy exists and where people do struggle for the security of democratic principles and values, where the word and mind freedom exists. This was stated by by Andre du Bus, the law maker of Belgian Parliament.
As law makers fro Belgium, our visit to Artsakh is important, because after returning to Brussels we will tell our colleagues about the Artsakh, about its values, about the principles being governed by. It is not a simple trip to Karabakh, we came to determine common points of contact. In this respect, I would like to mention three important dimensions assuming possible cooperation, particularly - regarding the health care. I think, we could cooperate in the aspect of medical insurance and culture. For instance, francophone days are being marked nowadays here, and we will participate in the events related. Of course it is also tourism - I am sure that the tourism sector could be successfully developed in Artsakh as well.
In his turn, Emmanuel De Bock, another Belgian law maker, expressed his support to Artsakh regarding the establishment and protection of democratic values in the country. " Thanks to your efforts, democracy reached here as well. We understand how hard it is to protect these values. Sometimes even Europe does not succeed with that, but we want to state that we are beside you in respect to democratic values establishment," the law maker mentioned.
He mentioned also that the main purpose of Belgian law makers visit to Artsakh is to determine clear aspects of cooperation and experience exchange possible sectors. De Bock accentuated also that it is necessary to keep on with maximum efforts to increase the international reputation of Artsakh. Meanwhile, Pierre Compagnie, the member of Regional Parliament, stated that on March 20 their delegation held meetings with Artsakh highest authorities. "Based on results of those meetings I could say that it is not separatists living here, wishing to get their own by all means. Your struggle is a struggle for values, and you pay a high price for that," Compagnie summarized.
