ArmInfo.Former radical oppositionist ex-Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan was one of the key members of Serzh Sargsyan's team until his resignation, and now it's unclear what ideological divisions they are separating, wrote the third number of the "Elk" bloc Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
"From the side, it seems that we are dealing with a quarrel in two related families. I do not believe that the political processes in Armenia should influence the deterioration of relations between two friends. The same goes for ex-Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian", Pashinyan said.
Touching upon his "difficult" opposition path, Pashinyan said: "It turns out I was oppositionist in vain all these years, was subjected to pressure for my views, it was necessary to get into the power structure in the 2000s, serve Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, then at a convenient opportunity to retire or leave in case of refusal to grant me the favored position and become an oppositionist", he summed up.
Today Pashinyan also criticized Gagik Tsarukyan, saying that he returned to politics with the permission of Serzh Sargsyan in order to either consolidate into a bloc with the Republican Party or become an opposition controlled by the authorities. However, Tsarukyan himself refutes the possibility of consolidation in the ruling coalition. And Iveta Tonoyan, the spokeswoman for Tsarukyan, said that the statements of the Elk bloc were caused by panic because of the constantly rising rating of the Tsarukyan bloc.
