ArmInfo.Armenia National Security Service raise a case in respect to large misappropriations implemented by a criminal group, comprised of Armenian and Russian nationals,  using  high technologies. 

According to the information shared with ArmInfo at the press office  of Armenia national Security Service, according to preliminary data  obtained, the members of the group noted, pretending to run hotel and  catering business, established three commercial units in Armenia,  than obtained cashbox terminals allowing to implement transactions  without  plastic cards and even without cardholders. 'Using the  cash  terminals mentioned, Russian members of the group sent to Armenia all   the personal data opf Australian cardholders. After receiving all the  necessary details, the members of the group in Armenia connected  their cell cards to terminals and made a transfer of large amounts  tho their accounts. Using this methodology, during the period of  August to December 2016, the criminals had withdrawn about AmD 85 mln  from the accounts of Australian banks clients. AMD 58 mln  was cashed   and  misappropriated, the other part of the amount remained  incomplete, " the statement reads. 

The statement reads also, that this criminal group was fetched out  and stopped. During the preliminary investigation an offense is  proposed to 5 persons according to point 1 provision 3 Article 181  Criminal Code of RA ( Large misappropriation with using computer  technologies). Three members of the group are arrested. The  investigation is in progress," the NSS statement reads.
