In "Liberty" square a procession was started in memory of Artur  Sargsyan

ArmInfo. From the square "Liberty", a procession began in memory of Artur Sargsyan. Participants of the procession demand to bury Sargsyan in the  pantheon of "Yerablur".

They also demand bringing to justice the Minister of Justice Arpine  Hovhannisyan, Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan, as well as all the  investigators who sentenced Sargsyan to arrest, which indirectly led  to his death. Hundreds of participants marching chanting "Artur!",  with his photos moved to the building of the government in order to  read out their demands there.

Prosecutors from Prosperous Armenia, Oganyan-Raffi-Oskanian bloc,  ex-Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian and Armen Martirosyan, as well as  well-known actor Grant Tokhatyan are taking part in the march.

It was decided to every evening at 18:00 from the square of freedom  to organize a procession. The son of arrested oppositionist Shant  Harutyunyan Shagen Harutyunyan leads the procession.

Sargsyan died yesterday after a 25-day hunger strike. The law  enforcement bodies began an investigation on the death of Sargsyan.  At the request of Sargsyan's relatives, a medical forensic  examination will be conducted with the participation of international  experts.

In the light of the death of Sargsyan, many political forces of the  country made statements, including the ruling Republican Party,  expressing sympathy for his relatives and friends. Some political  forces stopped pre-election campaign as a sign of mourning, radical  oppositionists accused the authorities of the incident.

To note, Artur Sargsyan was accused of assisting the actions of the  Sasna Tsrer group, which captured the regiment of the patrol service  in Yerevan in July 2016. On his private car he broke through screens  and delivered bread and water to the rebels. Sargsyan was arrested,  and then under pressure from a group of Parliamentarians, he was  released under a subscription, as he suffered a number of serious  diseases incompatible with his arrest. However, on 9 February he was  arrested again because of "violation of the conditions of execution  of the preventive measure". After that, Sargsyan went on a hunger  strike, and refused to take appropriate medical care, his health  deteriorated every day. On March 16, in extremely difficult  condition, he was taken to the clinic, where he died.
