ArmInfo.Russia-Turkey-Azerbaijan is not union and even not an alliance. Of course I do understand how the talks about the cooperation platform establishment between those three countries are accepted, but in real these are just countries having a certain group of similar interests. Such an opinion was stated in Yerevan by political expert Fyodor Lukyanov, the Chief Editor of Russia in Global Policy Journal.
"Russia clearly understands that every step towards Turkey and Azerbaijan should be followed by appropriate explanations to Armenia, as far as Armenia is Russia's ally. Russia is a superpower and I have no doubts in respect to the fact that it will develop relations it needs, with all the countrie," the political expert stated.
According to him, there are o unions in the World in classic meaning by now. And even alliances like NATO, according to Lukyanov estimates, are very non- sustainable. In this respect the political expert does not think that all the talks about the cooperation of Moscow, Baku and Ankara could be viewed as a claim to establish a union. The example is the cooperation between Russia, Turkey and Iran in the aspect of Syrian crisis settlement. I don't think it could be viewed as an evidence of creation of a block, alliance or union. This is just a similarity of interests in respect to Syrian conflict," the expert summarized.
