ArmInfo.The Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is not surprised by the absence of his name in the Republican Party proportional list, he said at a meeting with students of Yerevan State University on February 15.
"Maybe there is a restriction according to which I do not satisfy the requirements", - said the Prime Minister. At the same time, he expressed the hope that the RPA will succeed in elections and his team will be able to continue its work.
Answering to a question of the students if there are political prisoners in Armenia, Karapetyan said that he does not know this. "Honestly, I do not know this" - he said. When asked whether the activist Gevorg Safaryan, "Tsegakron" Party head Shant Harutyunyan, Arthur Sargsyan who delivered food to "Sasna tsrer"group members are political prisoners, he said that he wants to live in a legal state. "And regardless of our likes and positive attitude to them for their participation in independence and protection of the homeland, the state has laws and pardons no violation", he stressed. At the same time according to him for the selective approach can be the application of laws. "This is a bad practice, but if we regularly and emotionally try to comment on these laws we will not come to anything good," - said the head of Government.

The TOP ten of the Republican Party list are Vigen Sargsyan, Taron Margaryan, Arpine Hovhannisyan, Ara Babloyan Armen Amiryan, Armen Ashotyan, Eduard Sharmazanov, Margarit Yesayan, Farmanyan, Karen Avagyan. RPA will have no Chief of Staff in the elections, because the Executive organ of the party, headed by its leader Serzh Sargsyan, will guide the staff.
