To mention, the parliamentary elections in Armenia is scheduled for April 2, but many political powers state that this date contradicts the provisions of the Constitution and Electoral Code. Beside that, according to them, the voting on the date mentioned has also a moral meaning, because the April 2 is the Anniversary of April War. In response to these arguments Serzh Sargsyan stated he does not mind to change the date of elections, if there will be a complete political consensus, but only due to the moral aspect of the problem, and not the legal, because he is sure that the decision taken fully conforms the requirements of the Constitution. "A would like to dedicate those days to the memory of our heroes, too," Serzh Sargsyan said.
According to the sources of Arminfo, elections will take place most probably on April 9.
