ArmInfo.The Foreign Minister of Armenia and Germany - Edward Nalbandian and Frank-Walter Steinmeier - exchanged addresses on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Germany.
The press office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports that Nalbandian pointed out the high level and efficiency of the bilateral political dialogue. He noted that 25 years are just an instant in the centuries-old history of the two nations, however, in the contemporary history that instant determines an important stage of establishment of diplomatic relations. The minister expressed confidence that the process of consolidation and expansion of the Armenian-German relations will be continued.
For his part, Frank-Walter Steinmeier stressed that over the past quarter of a century the countries have developed a vast system of ties and close cooperation based on mutual confidence. He noted that Germany supports Armenia's striving to put the Armenia-EU relations on a new basis and to expand them. Steinmeier said that as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, Germany will keep exerting efforts towards peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict and will continue to support the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. He expressed hope that the cooperation between the two countries will keep developing based on mutual trust.
