ArmInfo. Armenian Government at today's session has approved Aramais Grigoryan for the post of Ararat District Governor. He shifted Ruben Abrahamyan, who resigned recently.
The Decision on proposing Grigoryan for the post of Ararat Governor was taken yesterday late in the evening during the session at Presidential office, conducted by president Serzh Sargsyan. Another decision was taken at the same session also regarding Alik Sargsyan, the Ex- Chief of Armenian Police, to shift Karine Sargsyan at the post of Ararat Branch Board of Republican Party of Armenia. Currently the President is at the head office of RPA.
To note, Grigoryan is one of Avshar Group Company Shareholders, previously he occupied the post of Nature Protection Minister, and was also a lawmaker representing Dashnakcutyun Party. Ruben Abrahamyan, who resigned, is a close associate to Hovik Abrahamyan, former Prime Minister who left RPA recently. After his exiting the Party 13 members of Ararat branch occupying high posts at Ararat District, who are meinly his relatives and friends, also left the Party. Argam Abrahamyan, Hovik Abrahamyan's son, is intended to participate in elections by the rating system from Tsarukyan block.
