ArmInfo."  I agree with the opinion of the First Armenian President regarding  Karabakh conflict to be settled on the pasis of mutual compromises. This was Multiply stated also by the authorities of the country," Edward Sharmazanov, the Deputy Speaker of Armenian Parliament and the press secretary of  Republican Party stated, referring to TerPetrisyan's remark during the ANK congress addressed to the ruling party in respect to the fact that republicans do not even voice the principle of settling the Karabakh conflict on the basis of mutual compromise.

He also agreed with the  First President's opinion about that the document on  Karabkah settlement being on the talks table today, could serve as a  basis for  the conflict  settlement in the case of reaching the  consensus between two sides. "When Ter-Petrosyan states that this  document is a compromise document and proceeds of armnian interests,  he actually accepts the fact that  during all these years our  diplomacy has been acting in a proper direction," the deputy speaker  stated, accentuating that  in his speech  Ter-Petrosyan  did not note  the first obstacle on the way to reach consensus and solve the  conflict. 

 " When Ter-Petrosyan  calls Ilham Aliev a rational political figure  and does not  note, who is the main obstacle in the peaceful process,  many questions do rise. Meanwhile, it is obvious and clear, that  compromises could not be reached, the negotiations process is  suspended, the cease fire  agreement is being violated exactly for  the reason of Azerbaijani President, which acts iirational, and the  evidence of that irrationality is the April war and rejection of  Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements aimed to decrease the tence at  the contact line. We are not ready for the peace while Aliev  permanently tries to resume the war," the Deputy Speaker mentioned ,  adding that in the case of intiating new war Azerbaijan will face  another fiasco and will lose more territories. 

Referring to  Ter-Petrosyans's statement on the fact that the  development of Armenian-Turkish relations depends on Karabakh  settlement, and Ankara did not undertake any hostile steps except  blocking Armenian borders, Sharmazanov reminded about the principle  fixed in Armenian-Turkish protocols on relations normalization,  claiming that the boders opening and bilateral relations setting is   not anyhow related neither to Karabakh conflict, nor to Turkey's  relations with other countries.  Sharmazanov did not share the  critics of Ter-Petrosyan in respect to the Army-Nation concept.  "Despite Ter-Petrosyan has implemented an in-depth historical and  geopolitical analysis, trying to prove the ineffectiveness of this  concept  for Armenia, he could not assure me, and I still stand for  my initial opinion that this concept is the most feasible for us  under current conditions," the Deputy Speaker summarized.  

To remind, the red line of Ter-Petrosyan's speech at the Congress was  the necessity of territorial abatements  within the Karabakh conflict  settlement. According to ter-Petrosyan, Armenia will face more  complicated situation if refuse.he also called Aliev as an expedient  leader, and blamed Armenian authorities for not stating clearly the  necessity of abatements. Ter-Petrosyan  criticized also the Army-  Nation Concept, considering  it ineffective for Armenia.
