ArmInfo. Armenia's President has not met with the delegation of the "occupation regime" in Nagorno Karabakh, Georgian mass media cite Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Gigi Gigiadze as saying.
According to the diplomat on the morning of September 2 information was received on supposed meeting between Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan and representatives of Abkhaz occupation regime in capital of Nagorno Karabakh. "In this light the Foreign Ministry responded immediately. Our Ambassador in Armenia met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia. Talk was held with Armenia's Ambassador to Georgia. According to the information of the Armenian side there was no meeting with the representatives of the occupation regime. Armenia is a friendly country for Georgia. It fully supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and we continue our close cooperation", Gigiadze stated. According to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia "this is a regular political speculation initiated by representatives of the occupation regime".
To recall, delegation of the Abkhazian Republic participated in the events attached to the 25th anniversary of NKR independence. Vice President of Abkhazia Vitaly Gabniya, who headed the delegation, noted during the reception that NK people have passed a difficult path towards the main goal- independence. The Vice President expressed hope that cooperation between the two states will further strengthen.
