ArmInfo.The highest political leadership of Armenia honored the memory of the victims of the  Armenian Genocide, the 110th anniversary of which is celebrated today, April 24.

ArmInfo.The international " Garden of Memory" event took place in the Victory Park in Yerevan.  The Armenian side has been participating in this large-scale tree planting event for the fifth year in a row.  In his opening remarks  before the tree planting, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin noted the significance of  such events.

April 24, 1915, is a date that cannot be called bright, it is a day of mourning, a memory of 1.5 million innocent victims who died in the Ottoman Empire 110 years ago, at the beginning of the last century, simply because they were Armenians. ArmInfo.On April 23, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting at Matenadaran with members  of the newly formed Public Council, led by the Chairman of the Council, Ara Khzmalyan.  As reported by the government press service, the Prime Minister noted in his speech that the constitutional  description of the Public Council as an advisory body of the government, should ultimately be fully realized.

ArmInfo.The Council for the Protection of the Rights of Artsakh People  will hold an event on  April 23 at 18:30 in Yerevan's Freedom Square to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Following the event, it will join the traditional torchlight procession, starting from  Republic Square at 19:15.
