ArmInfo.The shots and killings at the border are a continuation of the low-intensity conflict that has existed since the mid-2000s. Nothing new is happening, the border  with Azerbaijan has simply changed, which now passes in Gegharkunik  instead of Artsakh. Director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander  Iskandaryan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.

ArmInfo. The current situation in the South Caucasus has been forming since the last years of the existence of the USSR. And throughout this period, at its various  stages, in particular, after the failure of Mikheil Saakashvili's  military adventure in South Ossetia in 2008, the integration of the  region with the Euro-Atlantic community continued to be the main goal  of the US regional policy.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko and Deputy Secretary General of the European Foreign Service for Political  Affairs Enrique Mora, during the meeting on July 2, substantively  discussed the situation in the CIS space, including the problems of  the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement and the course of the International  Geneva discussions on security in the Caucasus.

ArmInfo.In my opinion, Armenia and Nikol Pashinyan personally, following the results of the early parliamentary elections, may well expect a repetition of the scenario  he implemented in the spring of 2018 with respect to the then Prime  Minister Serzh Sargsyan. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo  by the head of the Department of Eurasian Integration and Development  of the SCO of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Evseev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this during the  "Direct Line" referring to the issue of ensuring the security of the  residents of Nagorno-Karabakh.  At the same time, he added that the  beneficiaries of this work, of course, should be the residents of  Nagorno-Karabakh. "I would like to think that it will be so. Despite  all the difficulties that have been accumulating for decades," the  head of Russia noted.

This was announced by  official representative of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria  Zakharova, referring to the issue of accreditation of the Russian  commentator at the World Cup.
