ArmInfo. A tense situation has developed in the Armenian city of Alaverdi. On December 5, an  extraordinary meeting of the City Council of Elders was convened, which was attended by 14 of the 27 council members, of which 13 were members of the Civil Contract faction, and another one is Simon  Zakharov, who left the ranks of the Country of Living faction and became <independent> member.

ArmInfo.Late this year or early next year, a EU technical mission will arrive in Armenia,  Vassilis Maragos, EU Ambassador to Armenia, stated at an UNDP- organized innovation forum in Armenia.

Anna  Eshoo (D-CA), called on congressional leaders to send security assistance to Armenia and provide additional refugee relief aid for Artsakh genocide survivors as part of the national security supplemental funding bill, set to be reviewed as early as next week, reported the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

The "Armenia" opposition faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia proposes to approve the draft statement of parliament regarding the proposal presented by the Hayaqve initiative on the criminalization of the refusal of self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh and the belittlement of the Armenian Genocide. This was stated by faction secretary Artsvik Minasyan at a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs on December 4.

ArmInfo.On December 1, 2023 at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai President Serdar Berdimuhamedov officially announced Turkmenistan's accession to the Global Methane Pledge.

ArmInfo. From September 25 to November 26, 10,929 forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh  left Armenia, of which 4,303 returned to the Republic of Armenia, the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia stated in response to an inquiry by ArmInfo.

ArmInfo. In Skopje, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Grushko took part in  the next working meeting of representatives of the member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on the eve of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.
