ArmInfo. Escalating tensions in the Middle East are a cause for grave concern, the Armenian  Foreign Ministry said after Iran delivered what it described as a retaliatory strike against Israel over the weekend.

ArmInfo.Armenia's democracy score dropped from 3.11 points to 3.07 points. Thus, Armenia is ranked 35th on a 100-point system, The ratings are based on a scale of 1 to 7, with 7 representing the highest level of democratic progress and 1 the lowest.  This is evidenced by the data of the annual Nations in Transit2024 report by the international human rights organization Freedom House.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, at its meeting on April 12, in the second  and final reading, introduced scandalous amendments to the law "On the prevention of domestic violence, the protection of persons subjected to domestic violence, and the restoration of solidarity in the family," developed by a group of deputies from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction. 57 deputies voted for their adoption, 25 voted  against, and one parliamentarian abstained.

ArmInfo. The agreement, first signed with the United States in 2000, will be extended for another  seven years. On April 12, the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia approved the proposal to sign an agreement "On the extension of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the  Government of the United States of America on cooperation in the field of countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan told reporters on April 11.  According to him, the problem is much more complex than the issue of the safety of compatriots or citizens of Armenia. The country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not let developments escape its attention for a second, raising the issue both on international platforms and in contacts with partners, including Arab states.
