The leader of the election list of the Republican Party, the former head of the  Ministry of Defense Vigen Sargsyan, hopes that by the end of election  day the Armenian society will become more united. "Armenia, which  today is facing such important challenges, simply needs to  consolidate forces. Forming an internal enemy is very dangerous for  us," he told reporters after he voted at the polling station 9/47 in  the center of Yerevan.

ArmInfo. On December 6, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian  received a delegation led by the Vice President of the Senate of the  Italian Republic Paola Taverna, who is in Armenia due to the  extraordinary parliamentary elections in the OSCE PA observer group.

At the 88th year, the doctor of medical sciences, professor, honored scientist,  chairman of the Armenian Academy of Surgical Sciences, academician of  the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, honorary member of the  presidium of the Society of Surgeons of Armenia Pavel Ananikyan  passed away.
