French ambassador: The Karabakh conflict is a burden for the region

The Karabakh conflict is a burden for the region. For this reason, it should be resolved as soon as possible, Ambassador of France to Armenia, Henri Reynaud, said at today's press-conference in Yerevan. 

He also added that the elections ended in Armenia and Azerbaijan and we have to wait for new proposals of peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The OSCE MG co-chairmen offer the ways for the Karabakh conflict settlement, but the parties to the conflict themselves take decisions, the ambassador said. 

When commenting on the French former co-chair of the OSCE MG, Bernard Fassier's statement about the necessity of direct participation of Karabakh in the negotiations, Mr Reynaud said the co-chairs think and say about returning of Karabakh at the negotiating table, but the negotiating parties themselves should take the final decision regarding the problem.
