


ArmInfo. The Armenian Ombudsperson, Anahit Manasyan, met with relatives of missing persons and prisoners of war held in Baku.
According to the Office of the Human Rights Defender (HRD), during the meeting, issues related to the protection of their rights were discussed, and steps taken within the HRD's mandate were presented. Issues of ensuring ongoing support for relatives and providing them with necessary information were also addressed.
The Armenian Ombudsperson assured that the proper consideration of the issues concerning relatives of missing persons and prisoners of war, as well as the effective protection of their rights, are among her priorities. Manasyan stated that work is being conducted in this area through both domestic and international mechanisms, using all available tools.
Furthermore, the Armenian Ombudsman emphasized that protecting the rights of these individuals must be a constant focus for the state, which is obligated to continually take steps to ensure their rights.
