ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied a claim by reserve lieutenant colonel Naira Gevorgyan about an attempted enemy sabotage attack in Meghri, stating that it is disinformation.
Armenian Ministry of Defense Press Secretary Aram Torosyan wrote on his Facebook page that the statement from someone, who to put it mildly, "stood out" for her inglorious service in the Armed Forces is not only disinformation, but yet another unsuccessful and failed attempt at an information attack against Armenia, its state institutions, and its army. "We call on our media partners to refrain from republishing such slander and not to become involved in the reprehensible process of creating hybrid threats around the Republic of Armenia. At the same time, we believe that the relevant authorities will also examine this statement and consider its legal assessment," Torosyan added.
Earlier, Gevorgyan reported that there was an attempted infiltration of a military unit in Meghri on December 7-8, which was repelled by the Armenian Armed Forces. She also noted that higher command had given orders not to fire.
