ArmInfo. Medical aid sent to Armenia by decision of French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna was transferred to the RA Ministry of Health. This is stated in the message of the French Embassy in Armenia.
"France is firmly committed to being on the side of Armenia and the Armenian people and supports refugees who are forced to leave their land and their homes," the statement said.
It notes that the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Lena Nanushyan and Ambassador of France to the Republic of Armenia Olivier Decottignies personally inspected the transfer of the 5-ton cargo at the Zvartnots international airport. The donation included medical equipment and medicines. Lena Nanushyan thanked her French partners who are helping Armenia overcome these difficult days and providing patients with the necessary medicines.
On September 26, Catherine Colonna announced that equipment would be sent to Yerevan to provide assistance to the wounded.
Earlier, noting the importance of overcoming the humanitarian crisis, Ambassador Decottignies informed Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan that the French government, in cooperation with partner organizations, decided to allocate 7 million euros to meet the social needs of internally displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The ambassador also reported that the French side would send a plane to Armenia with medicines and equipment to provide primary medical care to people affected by the explosion at a gas station in Nagorno-Karabakh.
