This is stated in the information bulletin of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the activities of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on November 9.
"At 1:40 pm (Moscow time) on November 8, in the Shushi region, a group of four workers from Nagorno- Karabakh was fired on from the Azerbaijani side, as a result of which three people were injured and one was killed. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, is investigating the incident ", noted in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, while adding that Russian peacekeepers conducted patrols along three routes in Mardakert, Martuni and Shusha regions.
At the same time, it is stated that the Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out tasks on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. At twenty-seven observation posts, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime.
In total, since November 23, 2020, engineering teams of the Russian peacekeeping contingent have cleared 2,311.5 hectares of unexploded ordnance from unexploded ordnance, 683 km of roads, 1,937 buildings, and found and neutralized 26,078 explosive items. To coordinate efforts to prevent possible incidents in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, continuous interaction is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
