The negative migration balance of Armenia in January-September 2019  increased by 4% per annum

ArmInfo. In  January-September 2019, 47,575 cases of population migration were  registered, which is 10.9% more than the indicator of the previous  year.  

According to the data of the Statcommittee of the Republic of  Armenia, 18112 people have moved from this number to the country from  abroad. (with annual growth of 23.8%), while 22,739 people emigrated  abroad (with annual growth of 19.2%). Meanwhile, intra-republican  migration amounted to 24836 cases, with an annual growth of 4.2%. As  a result, for the reporting period of 2019. The negative migration  balance of Armenia amounted to 4 627 people, with annual growth of  4%.

The main countries where citizens of Armenia prefer to move are  Russia, the USA, the Republic of Artsakh, France, Georgia, Germany  and Ukraine.

For tourism purposes, 1,459,152 people visited Armenia during the  reporting period. (with an increase of 14.4% per annum), and 1 312  282 people left. (with an increase of 14.3% per annum).
