ArmInfo. On June 21 in a closed ballot, the National Assembly of Armenia elected Deputy Justice Minister Vigen Kocharyan as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council. The correspondent of ArmInfo reports from RA NA.
It should be noted that 119 deputies took part in the voting, 114 of whom voted, "for" Kocharyan's candidacy, and 4 voted "against", and 1 ballot was declared invalid.
After the election, President of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan noted that Kocharyan is still the Deputy Minister of Justice. After that, Mirzoyan offered the MPs during an extraordinary meeting, after all legal and technical issues were resolved, to give Vigen Kocharyan the opportunity to make an oath.
To recall, Kocharyan's candidacy was put forward by representatives of the ruling "My Step> faction.
