ArmInfo. Nikol Pashinyan's call to block all entrances to the courts' exits lies in two planes - political and legal. The Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan said this on May 21 in an interview with journalists.
He noted that he does not intend to give a legal assessment of this issue. As for the Prime Minister's statement that "surgical intervention" is necessary in the judicial system, Zeynalyan said: "There are no doubts that many problems have accumulated in the judicial system and in the judiciary. As for the venting, it has already been used several times in various countries of the world, and this experience can also be applied in Armenia. Today, the veting is very successfully used in Albania, "the minister stressed.
Zeynalyan noted that the venting will not apply to any specific judges. "None of the judges will be targeted. There will be no discrimination here. We had many problems in the judicial system, and we decided to solve them radically and quickly," the minister stressed.
He also noted that this system will not be directed against the judges appointed by the former government, and in the near future the government will do everything possible to prove it.
It should be noted that on May 19, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made an appeal to the citizens of the republic to block the entrances and exits of all courts. "From 08:30 am on May 20, we block the entrances and exits of all courts in the republic without exception, so that no one can enter," he wrote on his Facebook page, adding that tomorrow at 12:00 the second , the most important stage of the Armenian revolution, and that he will make an important statement about the situation in the judicial system.
