ArmInfo.For me the main goal today is determination in restoring justice, especially when this justice is denied. The Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan  said this in an interview with journalists at the memorial of the  victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Answering to the question whether the foreign delegations have  arrived to participate in the commemorative events, Mnatsakanyan  stated that he could not say. However, according to him, today in  different parts of the world, in different cities many memorable  events are held.

When asked what the reasons are for the Turkish policy of denial  after 100 years, the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry noted that  this is one of the most difficult issues. "It just does not make  sense: This is the most difficult question to which I have no  answer," the Armenian Foreign Minister said.

The FM also disagreed with the allegations that the process of  international recognition of the Armenian Genocide stalled. "Haven't  you heard the news from Italy? And how can this process stop? The  process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not  only a step in justice, but also in the direction of preventing new  crimes against humanity. Impunity will not pass, "the Armenian  Foreign Minister assured.

At the same time, he stressed that as a priority of Armenian foreign  policy, the struggle against the denial of the fact of genocide also  continues. The Armenian Foreign Minister reminded that Yerevan has  been consistently promoting the agenda on preventing new genocides in  the international arena for at least 20 years.

To clarify whether it is possible that Armenia may impose a new  reconciliation agreement on Turkey and the border between the two  countries will open, Mnatsakanyan expressed regret for those messages  that come from Ankara. "They are not encouraging, and even worthy of  criticism," said Mnatsakanyan, while he stressed that Armenia never  raised the issue of recognition of the Armenian Genocide as a  prerequisite for the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
