ArmInfo.If I declare that I initially believed that I would win and become Prime Minister, I would devalue all the events that took place. The Prime Minister of  Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview with Civilnet.

He noted that he always believed that he could serve the people.  According to the prime minister, many do not understand that the  people are a force. "I always believed in the power of the people,  and not only when I began my political activities, but also in those  times when I was engaged in journalism. My mission was to help and  serve the people, so that they themselves believed that they are  strong, "he stressed.

When asked by journalists whether he had seen the third president of  Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during the year, the prime minister replied:  "I have never met with Serzh Sargsyan. If such meetings had taken  place, I would consider it my duty to report them."

As for whether Pashinyan wants to revenge the second Armenian  President Robert Kocharyan, the prime minister said: "I don't want to  take revenge on anyone. If I wanted to revenge anyone, it would be  more logical to implement this plan last year these days," he noted.

To the clarifying question, whether he believes that the criminal  case against the second president of Armenia is a legal process,  Pashinyan said: "If it turns out that it is not, all those people who  started a unlawfull process will be punished." Nikol Pashinyan also  touched on his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin,  noting that they can be regarded as "good." "There is my personal  relationship with Putin, and there is a relationship between  institutions. In the elite of Russia, there is a problem with  everything that happened in Armenia, with those who came to power,"  said the Prime Minister. He noted that as a result of a revolution  figures were engaged in power in Armenia, who were previously  political opposition and were forced to work in the public sector,  they were funded by international organizations, including those that  are not well perceived in Russia and in the post-Soviet space.  Therefore, in many cases we see mistrust towards them from the  Russian establishment, but I am sure that this mistrust will be  overcome with time, "Pashinyan stressed.  Touching on his  relationship with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, the Prime  Minister noted that these are working relations, "as they should be."  "The President of Armenia has his powers and should not go beyond  them, the RA Government and the Prime Minister have their powers and  must remain within their limits," said Pashinyan.  Referring to the  criminal case filed against Spayka's director Nikol Pashinyan noted:  "The criminal case was instituted under an article that concerns the  concealment of taxes. And if the director of the company takes  responsibility and pays taxes, he will be able to go about his  business. We have no goal to fill the prisons, " Prime Minister  Pashinyan concluded.
