US Congressional delegation visited Tsitsernakaberd

ArmInfo.A delegation of US Congress, who arrived on a visit to Armenia  yesterday, visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex of the victims of the Armenian  Genocide.

Members of the delegation paid tribute to the memory of the holy  martyrs, laid flowers at the eternal flame.  After the flower-laying  ceremony, congressmen visited the Armenian Genocide Museum.

The delegation that arrived in Armenia includes David Price  (Democrat, North Carolina), Vern Buchanan (Republican, Florida), Dina  Titus (Democrat, Nevada), Michael Conaway (Republican, Texas), Gerry  Connolly (Democrat, Virginia), Adrian Smith (Republican, Nebraska),  Barbara Lee (Democrat, California) and Terri Sewell  (Democrat,  Alabama). All members of the delegation represent the Democratic  Partnership of the House of Representatives.

US Ambassador to RA Lynne Tracy met the delegation at the airport.  The visit to Armenia started with a visit to the Mother See of  Echmiadzin and a meeting with the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin  II.
