ArmInfo. The transport network of the route Yerevan-Armavir is cleared of illegal carriers. On 28 March, such a statement was made by Artush Grigoryan, Deputy Head of the Inspection Body for Urban Planning, Technical and Fire Safety in Armenia, referring to the situation around Galaktika Trans Service. In this vein, he said that during the meeting with the company's management, the staff of the inspection body explained the situation and urged the latter to begin their commitments, as there is already an accumulation of passengers, in particular at the bus station of Kilikia, on the route Yerevan-Armavir.
Grigoryan recalled that the protest of "Galaxy Trans Service" is connected with the fact that the company suffers losses due to the activities of illegal carriers, including seven-seater machines, providing transport services for taxi services and route taxis with "white" state numbers. The deputy head of the inspection body explained that the problems that arose are related to the existing legislative gaps that need to be resolved as soon as possible. In this vein, first of all, he pointed out the absence of a body authorized to control the activities of seven-seat taxis. Secondly, Grigoryan noted that despite the fact that route taxis are registered in KGD as economic entities that have the right to transport, but at the same time they are deprived of the right to participate in the regular transportation system.
<And here in the law there is a gap - which body can prohibit or allow it. As a result, we are confronted with a conflict of interest, "he said.Grigoryan noted that at present due to the current situation, the inspection body together with the Ministry of Transport, the SRC and the Traffic Police is conducting round-the-clock inspections. "Our focus will be not only on the transportation of passengers along the Yerevan-Armavir route, but we also intend to monitor the situation throughout the country to avoid violations," he concluded.
