ArmInfo. It is necessary to realize one simple thing that without the implementation of cultural and humanitarian projects, the fact of economic rapprochement of the EAEU countries will not be a decisive argument in the political perceptions of societies. This opinion was expressed at the international conference "Spiritual Values and the Modern State" in Yerevan by Alexander Safaryan, Head of the Turkic Studies Department of the Yerevan State University.
"We have repeatedly stressed that the Russian-Armenian strategic partnership is an imperative of history. Insults to the Russian military base in Armenia and statements aimed at destroying the inviolable trinity of Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora in our public consciousness for some reason have one and the same authors ", - said the expert. It is remarkable, he stressed, that these categorical-destructive statements are sometimes presented to Armenian social and political discourse through the prism of "innocent naive art workers who enjoy prestige thanks to their former creative merits, but in fact, of course, in no way connected with analytics in the field of geopolitics or historical research."
Of course, Safaryan said, it is encouraging that the highest representatives of the military-political leadership of Armenia all the more insistently emphasize that the political transformations in the country that began in April 2018 do not have a geopolitical background, will in no way affect foreign policy priorities and even more the strategic alliance with Russia.
It should be noted that the conference was organized by the research and analytical public organization "Integration and Development" together with the Network Research Institute.
