ArmInfo. The introduction of mechanisms for the implementation of the institution of confiscation of property without a court verdict is Armenia's international obligation within the framework of the relevant UN conventions and European structures. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan assured this at a press conference.
According to him, this process fully fits into the framework of the European Convention on Human Rights, applied by the European Court of Human Rights. "Even our international partners recommended us to introduce this institution. This process fully fits into the civil procedure code," Pashinyan assured.
However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the slow process of returning the loot to the state. According to him, if you go the standard way, this process can last for decades. "And those who argue that this process can slow down investments are not really concerned about investments, but about the fate of their property, mansions, land, luxury apartments, they want to know what will happen to all of this. I'll say it will be confiscated do not worry, "Pashinyan assured.
Speaking about his government, he assured that not a single official in Armenia has failed. "This was not the case. Yes, of course, there were and there are omissions at everyone, including me. It was and it will be so, but this does not mean that the government failed, as certain circles and the media subject to it try to assert", - the Prime Minister summarized.
