ArmInfo. The visit at the level of Adviser to the US president to Armenia is the first since 1997. The National Security Adviser of the USA President John Bolton stated this on October 25 in Yerevan.
He reported that he had held talks with Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Acting Defense Minister David Tonoyan, Acting Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan.
"Our negotiations with Pashinyan lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes, and I noted that the Armenian- American relations are a priority task, they are of strategic importance for us. I also stressed that we are ready to make our assistance in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, and in other ways", said Trump's Adviser, and in this context he added that this is based not only on the interests of Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also on the United States.
At the same time, he stressed that during the discussions, his meetings in Moscow, sanctions against Iran, as well as general regional issues, including the situation around Syria, were also touched upon. Bolton noted that during the meetings the importance of activating the economic component of bilateral relations, the increase in US direct investment in Armenia was stressed.
