ArmInfo. New Armenian-Russian proxy-war will turn the beginning of Russia leaving Armenia initiated by Azerbaijan,Hrachya Arzumanyan, the director of the Center for Strategic Studies "Ashkharh" (Stepanakert).an expert on military and  national security issues, expressed his opinion to ArmInfo.

"This scenario is the most possible consequence of the games of  Russia and Israel, as I have repeatedly told Russian colleagues, I  can say that this leaving will be very rapid and rather tough. In my  opinion, the overwhelming majority of ardent Russophiles in Armenia  who prayed for Russian interests in the evening in the republic, will  instantly turn into the same ardent Russophobes, "he said.

Arzumanyan characterizes another, growing at the international  platform war just as another Armenian- Russian war.  The analyst is  sure that today it is Russian elite who initiates war in Caucasus. 

Noting that Russian-Georgian war on August 8, 2008 led to the  expulsion of Russia from Georgia, Arzumanyan believes that  Russian-Armenian  war will lead Russia to the same consequences in  Armenia.  Stressing the lessons learned by the Armenians from the  situation around Georgia, the analyst forecasts that unlike the  Georgian scenario, Russia's leaving Armenia will be accompanied by  painful territorial losses for Azerbaijan. According to his  estimates, the Armenians are already intensively working in this  direction, seeking to enlist the support from outside.

"I should confess that for me, as a person working in Russian, it is  pretty painful challenge and problem.  For Russian colleagues, in all  appearances, no. Anyways, interviews like this by Russian publicist  Alexander Prokhanov speak about this to Azerbaijani media. It is  obvious that the Armenian society should thank Prokhanov and his  compatriots like Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin for his  frankness.
