ArmInfo. Water supply to Dilijan has been temporarily suspended, according to Veolia Jur, Armenia's single water supply and wastewater operator.
The shutdown was caused by adverse weather conditions recorded last night, which caused the local river to overflow its banks.
"Since the city's water supply is derived from the river's surface water, and Veolia Jur's water treatment facilities are not technically designed to treat water with such high turbidity, Dilijan's water supply has been temporarily suspended to ensure consumer safety," the company said in a statement.
According to the source, Veolia Jur specialists are taking the necessary measures to quickly stabilize the situation and restore the water supply.
