Seyran Ohanyan: We have types of weapons Azerbaijan can only dream of

 "We have unused types of weapons Azerbaijan can only dream of," Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said on the Public TV of Armenia.  

"The NKR Defense Army did not use its reserves in the recent battles. I want to stress that the armories of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh are constantly replenished and upgraded. At the same time, there is need for new types of military hardware and intensive measures are being taken to that end," Ohanyan said.    

When speaking of the armed hostilities along the line of contact of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops on April 2-5, Ohanyan noted that during the 'four-day' war the NKR Defense Army used only the means which were necessary in that particular situation.    

"Our tankers fought excellently. They hit numerous up-to-date tanks of the adversary. Our artillerists also acted professionally," Ohanyan said, adding that the adversary repeatedly tried to penetrate into our front but all these attempts failed.      

As regards the current situation in the conflict zone, Ohanyan said that the situation on the line of contact of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops is controlled and stabilized. He added that the Armenian reconnaissance detachments are taking measures to gain total control over the situation in the conflict zone.
