ArmInfo. The processes taking place in Armenia today were discussed at the round table "Problems around Armenia and their possible solutions" that took place the day before. Experts and political scientists, representatives of public organizations took part in the public discussion.

The order to use brute and disproportionate force by the police against participants in  peaceful protests, and in some cases, clearly brazen behavior of the police, was given directly by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his  Facebook account.

MP from the "Hayastan" opposition faction, Gegham Manukan, reported this to RFE/RL's Armenian Service , noting that we are talking about both securing the signatures of 36 MPs necessary to  initiate the process, and the candidate for the post of new prime minister.

ArmInfo.I have never had any ambition or desire to occupy the chair of the Prime Minister of Armenia, , also because of my own principles. This was stated on May 10 at a protest rally in front of the Yerevan State Theater University by leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, primate of the Tavush diocese, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, commenting on the proposal of the former head of the Armenian Foreign  Ministry Vartan Oskanian to become a candidate for the country's prime minister.

ArmInfo.Judging by the number and sentiment of participants in peaceful, legal protests in the  capital Yerevan and almost all regions at the moment, as well as other indirect indicators (for example, the number of spectators of the procession on live television), the sacred movement is gaining  momentum. Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters on May 6.

ArmInfo.The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Office of the Prime Minister  of Armenia responded to the statement of Primate of the Tavush Diocese, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, that senior members of the Civil Contract party are already sending them internal messages about  how they can join their movement.
