Nikol Pashinyan, lawmaker candidate of Yelk bloc thinks that following peaceful program of Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the first President, Armenian National Congress- National Party of Armenia bloc leader, the Armenian side could never get the recognition of Artsakh independence, he stated during the press conference in Yerevan on March 30.
In the opinion of the politician, speaking about the bilateral concessions, the first President dissembles, because the Azerbaijani side is not ready for them, moreover, it does not accept two from three basic principles: self-determination right of the nation and not using force or menace. "The Government of Azerbaijan states about the intentions to have tea-drinking in Stepanakert and Yerevan, thus, the given program only approaches the implementation of Baku plans," Pashinyan stated.
He also assured that the cooperation years with Ter-Petrosyan(2008-2012) , the latter did not come up with territorial fallback position. " It is possible that he is one of the supporters of this kind of program, however, during the cooperation of 18 political forces in one alliance, which he led, there were no word about the territorial fallback," the politician assured. On the point of journalists that Ter-Petrosyan comes with that position since 1997, Pashinyan stated that only upsets him. "It means that Ter-Petrosyan's position have nothing in common with political issues of the current processes", the candidate stressed.
To recall, National Party Congress led by Ter-Petrosyan is the only one among electoral campaign participant forces, which speaks for Karabakh issue peaceful settlement by territorial fallback. Moreover, the leader of the bloc and first President Levon Ter-Petrostan assures that Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities currently are hold talks over this. He also foresees soon settlement of Karabakh issue, which, in his opinion, prevents Armenian and Artsakh development. Ter-Petrosyan also expressed readiness to assist all the political forces, which implements the peaceful program, including the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
