ArmInfo.The leaders of the CIS member states will participate in the celebrations on May 9 in Moscow, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced by the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Sergei Lebedev at a meeting of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, TASS reports.  "I am happy and pleased, just like you, to announce that all CIS heads of state will be  attending the celebrations in Moscow on May 9," he noted.

ArmInfo.The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, rejected the proposal made in 2005 by the  then Prime Minister of Turkey, now President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to create a commission of historians to analyze the authenticity of the Armenian Genocide. This was stated by the head of the office of the  second president of Armenia Bagrat Mikoyan, in response to a statement made by the MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, Arusyak Julhakyan.

According to Pashinyan, in the late 1980s, the idea of  Armenia's independence was generated not for the sake of a better  life, but for the sake of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
