ArmInfo. The so-called "Lavrov  Plan", that is being discussed by many, simply did not actually  exist. The third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan  told journalists about this on June 10th.  According to him,  initiatives, as a rule, came from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk  Group, who presented a unified stance on various proposals for  resolving the Artsakh issue. By "Lavrov's Plan", the former president  clarified, a modified version of the Kazan document needs to be  considered, which, in turn, was based on the Madrid principles.

ArmInfo.  Russia officially recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan. As reported by TASS, the official representative of the Russian Foreign  Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the recent words of the aide to  the Russian President Vladimir Medinsky.  She called for them not to  be taken out of context and for the thoughts expressed to be  correctly interpreted.

An international conference dedicated to the preservation of the Armenian spiritual  and cultural heritage of Artsakh launched in Bern, on May 27.  As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin, the event was organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC) jointly with the Swiss Protestant Church at the suggestion of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

ArmInfo. The National Assembly of Armenia at its plenary session on May 27 rejected the draft statement of the National Assembly on the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War submitted by  the opposition faction "I have the honor". Only 27 deputies voted for  the adoption of the document, 54 voted against and 2 abstained.

ArmInfo. In the capital of Switzerland, Bern, a cross-party committee of 19 parliamentarians in support of the Swiss Peace Initiative has launched its work to support the decision of the Swiss Parliament to introduce the  necessary international mechanisms to implement the right of return  of the Armenians of Artsakh, which is legally binding for the  executive power of the country. This was reported by Vartan Oskanian,  former head of the Armenian MFA and coordinator of the Committee for  the Protection of the Fundamental Rights of the People of   Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Committee for the Preservation of Artsakh called on the UN Security Council, the EU,  the OSCE, the US and Russia to impose targeted economic and visa sanctions against Azerbaijani officials responsible for organizing the legal farce against the military- political leadership of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).
