The health of one of the activists of the "We pay 100 drams" movement sharply worsened on the night of the 5th/6th August. The activists go on their sit-in near Yerevan Municipality building demanding to fully annul the decision adopted by the Mayor Taron Margaryan to raise variable fare.
As the statement by the activists says, an activist Suren Sahakyan was transferred to the medical centre Grigor Lusavorich at night. The doctors diagnosed Sahakyan with sunstroke; his body temperature is 40 degrees C, and not dropping. This is the result of the 11 days picket at the sun. To note, the police have not permitted the sit-in activists to pitch a tent, or to place a sunshade in front of the Mayor's Office.
According to the statement, in the hospital doctors demanded payment for treatment from Sahakyan, otherwise he should leave the hospital. Sahakyan left and came back to the building of the Mayor's office to continue the protest action. His health state still remains unchanged.
