Air Armenia is appointed as regular air carrier from Novosibirsk-Yerevan, RBC reported.
According to the source, S7 Airlines is the only company making passenger transportation Novosibirsk- Yerevan-Novosibirsk. The Foreign Ministry of Armenia confirmed the appointment of Air Armenia CJSC with an appropriate note.
Air Armenia is making two-three daily flights from Yerevan to Moscow (Vnukovo airport), a weekly flight Yekateringburg, three flights in a week to Krasnodar and Petersburg, and a flight to Nizhny Novgorod, samara and two flights a week to Sochi. Regular flight to Paris and Frankfurt-on-Maine have been launched recently. The company was founded in 2003 and started with airfreight activity. In October 2013 it launched also passenger transportation services with liquidation of the monopoly of the bankrupt national air carrier Armavia in the field. Air Armenia is now the Armenian passenger air carrier number one in Armenia. With the company's entering the market, the air tickets prices slumped.
