Yerevan, Astana discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to ratify the Armenian-Kazakh protocol to the intergovernmental agreement "On International Automobile Communication". The issue is on the agenda of the RA government meeting scheduled for January 30.

ArmInfo. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia David Khudatyan received Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat  Imanbayev.

ArmInfo. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan at a meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic Bolat Imanbayev emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Kazakh side in the law  enforcement and migration spheres.

ArmInfo. The current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations were discussed during a telephone conversation on December 19 between Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.

On November 29, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan received a delegation led by Mukash Iskandirov, the head of the Kazakhstan-Armenia Parliamentary  Friendship Group of the Mejlis of Kazakhstan.  As reported by the  press service of the RA President, Khachaturyan welcomed the visit of  the Kazakh delegation to Armenia and emphasized the importance of  inter-parliamentary cooperation in enhancing relations between the  two countries.

ArmInfo.  A high level of  cooperation has been established between Armenia and Kazakhstan, particularly within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation:   Welcoming the members of the Kazakhstan-Armenia Friendship Group to  the National Assembly, the Head of the Armenia-Kazakhstan Friendship  Group Vagharshak Hakobyan said.

ArmInfo.  A delegation of the Kazakh-Armenian Friendship Group of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will arrive in Armenia next week. This was  stated by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev on  November 20 in Yerevan during the round table "Kazakhstan-Armenia:  Present and Future".

ArmInfo.Citizens of Armenia will now be able to travel to Kazakhstan using their ID cards,  following the agreement between the governments of the two countries , signed on April 15, 2024 in Yerevan. The Armenian parliament ratified the agreement on Friday.  The document regulates the procedure for visiting and staying of citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan on the territory of the two  states.

As reported by the press service of  the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Ilham  Aliyev for sending a representative sports delegation to the 5th  World Nomad Games.  

ArmInfo. From August 25 to 28, 2024, the Astana Diplomatic Club invites entrepreneurs from Armenia to visit Kazakhstan on a business mission.  As reported by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia, the event continues the practice of strengthening business ties between the countries by creating additional opportunities for direct business contacts. This spring, a successful business mission of Kazakh entrepreneurs to Yerevan was held, confirming the mutual desire of the business circles of the two countries to expand practical cooperation. The visit of Armenian businessmen to Kazakhstan will allow for progress to be made and further steps to be outlined in order to implement specific cooperation plans. The focus of the current business mission is on such priority areas for both countries such as transport and logistics, increasing mutual trade, and implementing projects in the IT sector.

ArmInfo.In fact, this is the first time that the CSTO peacekeeping potential was actually used to ensure the security, stability and integrity of one of the member  states.  President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said this at  an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the  Collective Security Treaty Organization, convened at the initiative  of the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan in connection with the  situation in the country.
