 ՀԿԵ-ն շատ կարևոր դեր է խաղում հաղորդակցությունների ոլորտում, ԱրմԻնֆո-ի թղթակցի հետ զրույցում հայտարարել է Հայաստանի երկաթուղու թանգարանի զբոսավար Նիկողայոս Տեր-Կարապետյանը, ով ուղեկցել է Երևանից Գյումրի ուղևորվող էքսկուրսանտների խմբին: 


Նրա խոսքով, կարծիքը, թե երկաթուղային հաղորդակցությունը Հայաստանի համար պակաս արդիական է դարձել, սխալ է: ՙՎերջին մի քանի տարում Հայաստան է տեղափոխվել երկաթուղային ճանապարհների ստուգմամբ և կարգավորմամբ զբաղվող ժամանակակից տեխնիկա, ձյունամաքրիչ տեխնիկա: Ըստ որում, տեխնիկան Հայաստան է ստացվել վրացական Փոթի նավահանգստով, և այդ ամենն արվում է երկաթուղային ճանապարհների պատշաճ սպասարկման համար, որպեսզի դրանք կարողանան ծառայել հայ ժողովրդին՚,- նշել է նա: Ըստ որում, Տեր-Կարապետյանը վստահ է, որ ՀԿԵ շնորհիվ հաջողվել է կրկին կապ հաստատել հեռավոր որոշ գյուղերի ու մայրաքաղաքի միջև: 


Հայաստանի երկաթուղու թանգարանում նա էքսկուրսանտներին ներկայացրել է այնտեղ պահվող ցուցանմուշները, պատմական տարբեր փուլերում Հայաստանի երկաթուղու գործունեության վերաբերյալ փաստաթղթերը, արխիվային լուսանկարներ և փաստաթղթեր, երկաթուղային տեխնիկայի նմուշներ, պատմական գնացքների մակետներ, մասնավորապես`ՙՎարդան Զորավար՚ զրահագնացքը: Ներկայացվել է Հայաստանի երկաթուղու զարգացման ամբողջ ճանապարհը՝ սկսած 1895 թվականի հուլիսի 5-ից, երբ Նիկոլայ II կայսրը ստորագրեց Թիֆլիս-Ղարս երկաթուղու կառուցման մասին Բարձր անվանական հրամանագիրը: 


Տեր-Կարապետյանն էքսկուրսանտներին ծանոթացրել է նաև ՙԵրևան՚ երկաթուղային կայարանում գործող ցուցահանդեսին, որը նվիրված է Բայկալ-Ամուրյան երկաթուղային մայրուղու (ԲԱՄ) 40-ամյակին: Ցուցահանդեսին ներկայացված է հայ երկաթուղայինների ավանդը ԲԱՄ-ի կառուցման գործում: Գյումրի ուղևորության ժամանակ ներկայացվել է երկաթուղային կայարանների պատմությունը և Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմում հայերի մասնակցության մասին տեսաֆիլմը: Գյումրիում տուրի մասնակիցները ծանոթացել են Երկաթուղային տեխնիկայի թանգարանի ցուցահանդեսին: 
Նշենք, որ էքսկուրսիան կազմակերպվել է ՀՀ Մշակույթի նախարարության և ՙՀարավկովկասյան երկաթուղի՚ ընկերության կողմից Առաջին Համաշխարհային պատերազմի 100-ամյակին նվիրված՝ ՙՇրջադարձ հայացք 100 տարի անց՚ Եվրոպական ժառանգության օրերի շրջանակներում: 
ՙՀԿԵ՚ ՓԲԸ-ն հանդիսանում է ՙՌուսական երկաթուղիներ՚ ԲԲԸ-ի 100% դուստր ընկերություն և իրականացնում է Հայաստանի երկաթուղային համակարգի կոնցեսիոն կառավարումը: Համաձայն 2008 թ. փետրվարի 13-ին Երևանում կնքված պայմանագրի՝ կոնցեսիոն կառավարման ժամկետը կազմում է 30 տարի, կողմերի փոխադարձ համաձայնությամբ ևս 10 տարի երկարացման իրավունքով:
