Retails prices of oil products in Armenia down 2.2%-4.2%

 ArmInfo has monitored the retail prices of oil products in Armenia and registered certain reduction of prices that had been left unchanged since the summer of 2012.

Actually, starting Feb 24 2014 the price of the Super AI 98 petrol fell 3.8% to 510 drams per liter versus 530 drams. Premium AI 95 petrol price fell 4% to 480 drams versus 500 drams. Regular AI 91 petrol price fell 4.2% to 460 drams versus previous 480 AMD.  Diesel price fell 2.2% to 460 drams versus 470 drams.  Eurodieasel price fell from 490 to 480 drams per liter.

Oil-traders explains this with the global downwards trends, as Armenia is importing oil products.

In 2013 327,990 tons of oil products were imported in Armenia versus 346.403 tons in 2012 (a 5.3% decline). Oil products were imported mostly from Russia and Romania (98.289 tons and 97.184 tons, respectively).
